At the beginning of the month, the co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin y Tyler Gillett (Scream 2022, Ready Or Not), finished filming the next installment of the slasher saga Screamwhich for now we refer to as Scream 6.

With details of the plot to be known, this is the description that the Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media studios handle Scream 6:

“Continue with the four survivors of the murders of Ghostface as they leave Woodsboro behind and begin a new chapter.”

If you’ve been closely following the news about Scream 6, you will be aware of what the beginning of “a new chapter” means, and if not, we will bring you up to date. The new sequel will move its events from Woodsboro to New York City. And although it is a new place, the survivors of Scream 5 They will have no escape from the dreaded Ghostface, as the villain will continue to stalk them.

• EYE TO THE DATA: This is not the first time Ghostface has hunted his victims outside of Woodsboro, as Scream 2 it moved us to Windsor College in Ohio, but it does mark the first time filming has taken place outside of the United States.

The script is in charge of James Vanderbilt y Guy Busickco-writers of Scream 5. Kevin Williamsonscreenwriter of the original saga, and Chad Villella of Radio Silence, return as executive producers alongside Peter Oillataguerre, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber, and Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and Project X’s William Sherak are producing.

Scream 6 will be released in theaters on March 31, 2023.
