Netflix presented the first official glances to his new drama of the small screen, the series The Waterfrontcreated by Kevin Williamson.

The series, inspired by real eventsmarks Williamson's return to TV and North Carolina, where Williamson filmed the popular youth series Dawson’s Creekof which he was also creator and screenwriter, same tasks that he repeats with The Waterfront.

The family drama set on the North Carolina coast, is starring Melissa Benoist (Supergirl, Waco), Maria Bello (Beef, NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service), Dead mccallany (Mindhunter, The Lincoln Lawyer), y Jake Weary (Trigger Warning, Animal Kingdom).

They are accompanied Danielle Campbell, Lucas Hyde, Humberly González, Rafael L. Silvay Billie Roy, Dave Annable (Lioness, Yellowstone, Walker) y Topher Grace (That 70’s Show, Heretic, Flight Risk).

Official synopsis:

“For decades, the Buckley family has governed Havenport, North Carolina, dominating everything, from the local fishing industry to the gastronomic scene of the town. But its fishing empire has begun to crumble as the patriarch Harlan Buckley (McCallany) is recovered from two heart attacks, and his wife Belle (Bello) and his son Cane (Weare) deeper to keep family businesses afloat.

Williamson is a recognized screenwriter of vast experience, creator of the Slash franchise Screamand screenwriter of other slasher deliveries such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Faculty, Cursed y Sick. On television he has created series as the aforementioned Dawson’s Creek, Wasteland, Hidden Palms, Stalker, The Following, The Vampire Diaries, Time After Time, Tell Me a Story.

The executive producers of The Waterfront They are Williamson, Ben Fast, and Marcos mowing, who is also one of the directors. Liz Friedlander and Erica Dunton are other directors.

The season is formed from 8 episodes that will be released at the streamer simultaneously on June 19, 2025.
