The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has just announced this Tuesday morning, January 23, the 2024 Oscar nominations corresponding to its 96th edition, with a live stream hosted by Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid through the official Oscars sites (oscars.com, oscars.org), and their official pages on YouTube, Twitter (now others.

This is the second year in a row that the announcement has taken place in person with an audience in front of members of the press and publicists since the pandemic.

The movie Oppenheimer leads the nominations with 13 candidates; they follow him Poor Things con 11, Killers of the Flower Moon con 10, Barbie con 8, Maestro con 7, The Holdovers, American Fiction, The Zone of Interest y Anatomy of a Fall con 5, Napoleon con 3, Nyad, Past Lives y The Snow Society con 2.

The Oscars 2024 gala will take place on Sunday, March 10 at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, with Jimmy Kimmel returning as host for the second year in a row, and his fourth time overall. In Mexico and the rest of Latin America they will be broadcast live through the TNT and HBO Max signal.
