What was new? What was worth listening to? What went up and down for us in March? You can find out here.
We take a short and concise look back at some of the most interesting Leipzig releases from March 2026. There is a wonderful new discovery, lots of experimental sounds, but also some rave tracks. Let's go.

Record of the month:
Linusalexis – „Asbetos“ (self-released)
While looking for new, electronic music, we came across a promising producer from New Leipzig during our Bandcamp research. We hadn't had Linusalexis on our radar before, but with his EP “Asbestos” that suddenly changed in our editorial team. This music blew us away, to say the least.
He brings together seven very mature and sharply produced pieces on this magnificent EP. What should be emphasized is the musicality, which indicates a very good basic understanding of sound or even training. A piano that sounds like it was played, subb bass, a slight crackle and edgy breakbeats. Sometimes reminiscent of productions by genre greats like Bonobo. In short: A very hot tip! Who are you Linusalexis? We want to find out more.

VA – „OSMVA005“ (Osmium)
The Hamburg techno label Osmium has appeared on our radar since the EP “Wings Of Glass” by Leipzig producer Slany. On the new Various Artists release “OSMVA005” the term “experimental” is explicitly referenced. What this means in musical execution is certainly debatable. In this particular case, it can be clearly said that the pieces can all be assigned to techno, but the genre boundaries are loosely expanded and the focus is not on pure functionality.
There is room for reverberated sounds, dynamic track progressions with sometimes long build-ups and broken up 4-to-the-floor beats. With Farkas, Kønnë and Humanoizer, three Leipzig artists can also be found on the compilation, with the former curating and mastering the compilation.

Jacob Mäder – “A Matter Of Time” (Paradise Boogie)
After numerous releases on the Leipzig label Freund der Familie and on their “drawer labels” such as FDF Dubs, FDF Raw, etc., there has also been a real sub-label with Paradijs Boogie since 2025. The first album by Stuttgart producer Jacob Mäder is the second release on it. The musical approach is as simple as it is catchy. The producer manages to combine atmospheric ambient sounds with smooth deep house throughout the entire length of the game, which makes the album very listenable. If you wanted to conjure up an image, this album sounds like sunset over deep blue water. “A Matter Of Time” comes from a single source and can actually be played on various occasions – be it at home or in a more dignified club context.

.At/on – „Anti Rave“ (Adventurous Music)
What continues to be adventurous is not only the frequency of releases on the Leipzig “non-profit micro-label” Adventurous Music, but also the music that always sees the light of day here. This EP, for example, is not a diss against the rave scene, as the title might suggest. Rather, it's a nerdy electronica/experimental release whose music was created on a single device – a drum machine, also known as “Anti Rave”, at least to the hardware nerds out there.
The samples that only came from this box were cut apart and further processed. The result is nine tracks, with each track assigned a letter from the EP title (including the “_”). The EP is listenable throughout and refreshingly short. You can do it in just under 20 minutes.

Mytripismytrip – „Rage People“ (Marginalia Music)
Mytripismytrip has so far only been a topic for us in the dance dance tips. Above all, the Leipzig duo is present through their live sets. However, there have already been a few releases. In March, Marginalia, the label of Barcelona-based, internationally touring DJ Elif, released another EP with two techno tracks aimed straight at the dance floor.
With “Rage” and “People”, Mytripismytrip have brought together two very pressing, analogue and playful sounding pieces that would otherwise probably have been lying dormant in their live sets. The pitched vocal samples add some pop appeal to the basic sound of this EP, which is designed for larger floors. The Mexican producer Ripopolar then smooths out “Rage” a bit, which on the one hand is good for the piece, but in fact the roughness of the original remains even more attractive. Good rave EP made in Leipzig.

Ergashma – „Folder “enchantments“ (Self-released)
In March we once again made a very interesting new discovery on Bandcamp: Ergashma. Unfortunately, a lot of information cannot be extracted. Behind the name is a producer with Uzbek roots who lives in Leipzig. And they seem to play an important role in his musical work. Since 2022, Ergashma has been releasing very different music via Bandcamp, mostly experimental and ambient, but sometimes also with a focus on special dance floors.
With “フォルダ「enchantments”, a new album was released in March with eleven short pieces that move between folkloric-organic sounds and minimalist electronics. Some tracks remain fragmentary, others seem more formulated. And the second half of the album becomes increasingly rhythmic and accessible with subtly deep to dubby downbeat, electro and drum & bass tracks. But never in a classic sense. Ergashma is apparently in an ongoing research process that we would like to participate in more frequently from now on.
